Product Description

The Qixing Z2 single spring mechanical seal is an O-ring design built for water, sewage, oil and moderately corrosive fluids across a wider operating range than rubber-bellow seals. It follows the standard Type 2 / 502 envelope used in centrifugal pumps, booster pumps and chemical transfer pumps.

Unlike rubber-bellow seals, the Z2 mechanical seal uses elastomer O-rings (NBR, EPDM or FKM) as the secondary seal, delivering stable performance from -40°C to +200°C, up to 1.0 MPa and shaft speeds of 15 m/s. Production Details

Seal face lapping defines Z2 reliability. Qixing laps each face to ≤ 0.0009 mm flatness (≤ 3 helium light bands), verified on a monochromatic light tester. Tight flatness control is what gives a Qixing Z2 mechanical seal its leak-free service life under high-temperature duty.

Every O-ring is moulded from peroxide-cured compounds — NBR for water and mild hydrocarbons, EPDM for hot water and weak chemicals, FKM for higher temperatures and aggressive fluids. Carbon faces are resin-impregnated, SiC is pressureless-sintered SSiC, and tungsten carbide uses cobalt-bonded YG6/YG8.
